DAAK (CANDLE) – AN ODE TO NOSTALGIA. (ڈاک)
‘ALL IT TAKES IS ONE SCENT TO BRING BACK A THOUSAND MEMORIES..’
Daak is an ode to the many memories a scent can awaken, to olfactory nostalgia. It is a hand-poured bouquet of heartwarming notes that transport you to the gardens of Nani ma’s house, to those summer evenings spent with her in the garden and the baraanda. This is our loving attempt at bringing a year round Bahaar in your daily life. Light it whilst remembering and creating khoobsoorat yaadein.
The scent is a delicate blend of local Chambeli, with nuances of Raat ki Rani and, our favorite, Motia. Intoxicating, mesmerizing and unforgettable. The candle has a fresh, breezy, indulgent yet earthy scent – the blend is soothing and stimulating at once.

Burn time 20 hours
Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans.
– Burns clean.
– Nontoxic, natural product.
-Wicks made with 100% natural fibers
Care:
The first burn is the most important! Make sure when you light your candle for the first time, you allow it to burn for at least one hour, or until the wax has melted to the very ends of the glass.
If the wax is not allowed to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge, it will create a “memory ring,” especially if this is the first time the candle is lit. Once a candle has this “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel and to burn that way for the life of the candle.
Trim the wick – The wick only needs to be approximately 1/4 inch in length, keeping it this length will avoid mushrooming which can result in unnecessary soot. This also controls the size of the flame allowing you to get the most time out of your candle.
Candles should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. After burning for four hours, candles be extinguished, allowed to cool for two hours
Never leave a burning candle unattended!
Keep them away from external sources of heat, as this can melt the hard outer shell of wax and cause dips for the inner core to spill out of.
It’s best not to burn the last 5mm of wax as this can get very hot and risks damaging the container
Candles mature as they burn, and may deepen in colour and scent strength over time.
Soy wax tends to have a ‘rustic’ look after the melt pool has cooled. This is due to the natural makeup of the wax and in no way affects the way your candle will burn.
